We are finally posting some pictures of our Blue Diamond Candy Buffet that we designed for a wedding at the Woodwinds in Branford, CT a few weeks back. The bride and groom, Heather and Adam chose cornflower blue and silver as their colors and they wanted lots of GLITZ. So........... as you will see, we blinged out our candy jars with diamonds, diamonds, and more diamonds. This was definitely a sparkling wedding.
Let's start with our embossed glassine bags. You don't want to know how many hours it takes us to create these beautiful favor bags. It's a four part process. First you have to stamp the bags, then cover the image with embossing powder, shaking off the excess. Then your heat gun does it's magic and everything starts to bubble up. Next, each rhinestone has to be placed by hand. It's very time consuming, but definitely worth the work!
Check out our candy labels. Our new Silouette Machine does a great job of cutting labels that frame our words perfectly....and yes, more diamonds.
As if that wasn't enough, our local bakery dipped these white chocolate covered Oreos and embellished them with silver sprinkles.
Let's not forget the white chocolate covered pretzels that our good friends, Mike and Brenda of Atomic Apple made for us. We love all of their chocolate goodies!!
We added our 16' tulle skirt (thank you, Angela), lights, lifts and glitzy signs to customize this buffet.....because that's what we do.
Fortunately for us, New Haven isn't far from Branford, so off we went between set-up and break-down to find a nice restaurant.....MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. Although, my mission was to keep up with Gina and her 6" heels walking around the streets of New Haven. After dinner, there were only a few hours left before we had to go back and breakdown the table and package up the remaining candy for Heather and Adam. With a few hours to spare, we headed over to our best friends house, Starbucks.
A special thank you to Heather's beautiful and gracious mother, Linda and to Heather and Adam for letting us be a part of their special day!
